Production

    The initial production order announced in June 2006 amounted to 70 aircraft in total (plus an option for 10 additional aircraft). This was split down as 40 for the Army Air Corp, and 30 for the Fleet Air Arm (with the additional options split as 5 aircraft each).

   Initial plans call for a first flight in 2009, with initial deliveries to the customer in 2011. The Army Air Corps units will begin taking delivery in 2014, followed by the Fleet Air Arm squadrons in 2015.
